Top tips for installing your mural

Wall murals are a great way to transform your room, quickly and easily. For ease, we recommend 2 people install the mural onto your wall.

All wall murals are supplied in even panels to ensure installation is as simple as can be.

Installation Diagram

Your wall mural is supplied in panels.
All panels are hung edge to edge without overlapping.
Trim excess at top, bottom, far left and right panels.
We recommend that you add 5cm or 2" extra to the total width and height.

As walls tend to not be even, we suggest you add 5cm (2inches) onto your dimensions. Excess can be trimmed from around the edge once your mural has been installed.

It’s important that you prepare your wall as per the installation instructions.

If you’re considering a paste-the-wall wallpaper, we will supply your mural with the relevant adhesive. This adhesive has been rigorously tested to ensure you gain the best results.

If you’re considering the peel-and-stick wallpaper, installation is as simple as peeling off the backing gradually, as you’re applying it to the prepared wall.

Wow! Gorgeous mural - what a show stopper!

First - there are 2 different types of permanent wall adhesive and 1 self-stick type. If you are confounded by internet purchase without ability to touch and feel the paper like I was, ask for small samples of the paper -- for me this was extremely helpful.

Second - When you are completing your order, you will have the ability to crop the image to your needs and/or flip it horizontally to accent your room. (You have to have your wall measurements before you can play around with this feature.)

Third - it is well explained on the site, but to confirm, the wall mural does come with the packet to paste the wall, and it is hung without paper-edge overlap. I actually hired a professional for the hanging of the paper and I had to explain the fact that the paper was to be abutted and not overlapped. I also had to help him figure out the order of the different rolls, because if you crop the print, the leading edge may look a little different from the photo that accompanies your paper.

My only suggestion would be it would be nice if Wall Sauce was able to print that frame on the picture like you set-up on the website, to help with identifying the different roll orders.

It is gorgeous. My wall mural really set the tone and completes the room.
