Katy Smeets

Katy Smeets is an ink artist from Adelaide, South Australia. Originally from the UK, she moved there ten years ago after meeting her Aussie husband on a solo backpacking trip!

For eleven years Katy worked as a graphic designer and after having two children, she wanted to explore creativity in new ways that didn’t involve a computer. She fell in love with inks from the first time she used them. She loves the vibrancy of the colours and how each piece is totally unique. As a sufferer of anxiety, Katy finds the process of painting with inks very relaxing and allows her to completely switch off.
